Advocate
Sam Whittall
Sam joined the team in Thailand, working as a Volunteer Leader on the GVI Thai Elephant Reintroduction Project for 1 year and has since returned to work as staff for the summer of 2016.
Previous to Thailand Sam worked as a large carnivore keeper at Longleat Safari Park for 2 years, and undertook a 1 month volunteer placement in the African bush, there is no keeping Sam from Africa and he is now returning in the summer of 2017 as an intern on the same GVI Wildlife Research Project.
Sam is hoping to pursue a career in Conservation and is currently studying a degree in Animal Conservation and Biodiversity in Kent.
Sam advocates for Thailand Elephants because he believes the work of Thailand Elephants continues to play a huge role in improving the lives of many captive elephants.
Sam is covered in tattoos.....
If his tatt's are anything to go by, he's as mad on 'Lord of the Rings' as he is elephants!
